Others may refer generically to what we do as “Recruiting” or “Headhunting’ or “Executive Placement,” but those labels imply that the service being provided is just one of finding talented people. Certainly that is the core of what we do, but those labels imply a limited, impersonal role. As matchmakers, we get deeply involved with our clients and with candidates so that we can do the best job we possibly can of finding people that are the right fit for the client company and the job opening and that the company is a good place for the candidate to meet his or her professional and personal objectives. We are Matchmakers—with the emphasis on “Match.”

As simple as this may sound, candidates regularly tell us how different we are from other firms they have dealt with in the past. They are impressed with the time we take to really get to know them and understand their goals. Candidates also tell us that they appreciate the detailed information and insight we share about our clients and our attempt to make sure that they are informed and well prepared at every step during the hiring process. Candidates even thank us on those occasions when we have to tell them that we do not think a particular job is a good match for them. But maybe most of all, candidates thank us for always getting back to them. We know what it’s like to interview for a new job or be engaged in an exhaustive job search. We always respond to e-mails. We always return calls. Always.
